A Unique Programme Developed Through Collaboration
The Humanitarian Leadership Programme (HLP) is a bold and innovative approach to improving the leadership of the sector. The HLP was seeded with funds provided by the Australian Aid Programme, and has now grown thanks to support from the IKEA Foundation.
A partnership approach has supported the programme’s planning, development and delivery from the very early stages. The HLP was designed to be ‘by practitioners, for practitioners’, with input and support from our founding partner agencies – including Save the Children and Deakin University, the Australian Aid Programme,World Vision, Oxfam, Outlaw Consulting, Plan, and Care.
During the past five years, the partnership has expanded to include agencies such as Action Contre la Faim, Relief International, the Humanitarian Advisory Group, Institute for International Strategic Relations (IRIS), the Asian Disaster Reduction and Response Network; and private sector partners such as the IKEA Foundation and Peter Berry Consulting.
Our growing family of official partners has now expanded to include Fire and Rescue NSW, and we are working with other organisations who have an interest in the programme to support them becoming an official partner.
We welcome other partners who wish to contribute or support the programme.
