About the course

This academic course is for senior managers working in the humanitarian and development sector with a minimum of five years’ experience working with recognised national and international Non‐Governmental Organisations, UN Agencies, private sector organisations or relevant government bodies, and who have at least three years in a senior managerial role. Applicants should have a strong motivation to develop their leadership skills to make a positive contribution to the future of the sector.

Duration: The Humanitarian Leadership Programme consists of 4 distinct units. The entire course will run over a period of eight months. See Programme Schedule for dates of the upcoming course.

Accreditation: This is a postgraduate level university course. Successful applicants will be enrolled as students with Deakin University. Upon successful completion of the four units, students will obtain a Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership. Students who successfully complete this course can also apply to enrol in the Masters of Humanitarian Assistance.
